Facercise

Just minutes a day to a younger prettier you!!

I confess, I actually wanted this gift. Thanks Dreg for feeding the
vanity in me! Mama turns 31 this year so really, it's time for
Facercise! Show me the ways Master Maggio -

What is even more of a gift to me, is seeing my mother's face in this
picture. We were both making fun of my gift, but she takes the gold
with that look!

Fairies in the Fog

My upstairs window is permanently fogged up between the glass and even
if I could see out to the front of the complex, the scenic view is a
drag to look at anyways, so i thought I'd tape up all the sweet little
stained glass fairies that Ayden and I colored - hmm, I don't know -
maybe last year or the year before. Hmmm, how long ago was that??

Okay, now I'm stuck in chronological thought.

The point is, they were not being appreciated at all being stuck in the
coloring book so even if taping them to the window is just the beginning
of their end, at least they are now being loved.

Wish I was napping with you....

Not in sweat pants!

I believe the first step in postpartum recovery is to at least get
dressed....

Even if it was the same outfit that you wore yesterday!

Marlie Paige is a great little lady to hang out with...

Oh where, oh where has my positive parenting gone?

Seriously, Mama has been sucking ass this past month. Have I completely forgotten how to do it?

Granted I've had major surgery, 2 episodes of mastitis and very little sleep with the new babe but come on Sadie - get with it. I am so sick of being grumpy and feeling annoyed with everything and everyone. Even though I internalize most of it, I am really bothered by not being the positive mommy (and person) I know I can be.

Not feeling well is so detrimental to me. And I don't know about your family, but around here, no one does well when Mama doesn't feel well. Everyone seems to be extra needy, whiny or grumpy themselves. And without me guiding the way, a peaceful rhythm is hard to keep.

Each night I think, tomorrow I will feel better and it will all click in and fall into place and I will return my home to cleanliness, and cooperation will return to our schooling, and the little ones will be happy and content and the babe's diaper rash shall disappear and Super Mom will return and will feel great enough to do it all.

Super Mom - come back!!!!

Slacking ass in 2009 already.

And that's a good thing!

I think I have the same damn resolutions that I have every year - to generally improve myself and become a better person, get organized in my home to manifest an effortlessly clean abode, be the best darn Mama ever, get into shape, be able to touch my toes, eat fabulously, juice more and this is my new one - drink more tea.

Seriously, I need to lay off the hot cocoa.

December News! Our family has grown to include a wee little one - Marlie Paige - who is such a sweetie girl. I'm relishing in bliss (and poop) and really loving it all. I think knowing that this is my last one (double knot tubal ligation) certainly drives me to soak it up and APPRECIATE the magic - something that we all need reminded to do on a moment to moment basis.

Ahhh.... breathe in.

2009 feels good.

My sewing machine is sometimes like a penis to me.

Kinda foreign, ya know. I mean, I pretty much know how to work it and get things done on it, but I feel like my skills could certainly be tweaked in some areas. Like what exactly it THAT part for and how could I do this better. And is my machine really satisfied...

Okay I'll stop with the penile corniness.

The one thing I really would like some pointers on is stitching up appliques. Do I just use a wide zigzag with the stitch length a short as it can be without it clumping up on itself? If you do app's, I'd love to hear your method to help improve mine.

Fun Things for Fall

Pumpkins, fake cobwebs and wooden horses with only one ear.

We've been having lots of fun.  Oh how I love fall.  I'd be doing so much more if I wasn't getting so tired in my pregnant state but I will just try to stay in the Now and Enjoy.  Although I will admit I am looking forward to someday feeling normal again.

Excited for Fall

Fall is my favorite season.  It feels good to me - the weather, the air, the smells, the beauty with colored leaves and acorns on the ground.   I'm ready to welcome it.

I love nature slowing down a bit - it helps me center and focus.

And cooler weather always means it's time to get your craft on!

Cucumber?

So I thought I planted a cucumber plant, but this is most definitely a damn squash growing up my bush.  Actually, it looks like a gourd.  A damn gourd.

Gourds are great - don't get me wrong.  I was just hungry for cukes.

Sunflowers

I absolutely adored my sunflowers this summer and so did the bees!

Right along the stinky lake surrounded by duck poop.
Whose idea was this?

Summer

My Genius

Oh how I adore him.

Spoiled Much?

Although it may appear I've gone over the edge serving my little girl's bottle on ice - it truly was for a good reason.  We were both so sick last week and I wanted to make sure she had something to drink (other than off of me).  The night's are long and milk is well, milk.  And I didn't want it to spoil so on ice it was!

Thanks Grandma for getting her this Think Baby Sippy Bottle - free of phthalates & PVC.

Happy to report that Elaine is over her cold although Mommy is lagging behind miserably.  Why does my immune system always go to shit when I'm pregnant??  No fun.

Just watched The Secret....Law of Attraction....who knew!

If you're reading this, I guess I must have attracted you here.

What Is The Secret

An amazing message with an amazing cast too. My favorite was James Ray and upon visiting his website, he also promotes an eco-friendly Green Team. Where the hell is that thumbs up smiley face guy.... They were all good with so much inspiration and words of wisdom - Thoughts become Things sticks in my head now.

You can see All the folks I thought were great here I wish I would've known they were already listed there instead of me watching the movie 2 times to get all their names. Ahh, what the hell, good things deserve being watched twice and I do need practice with remembering peoples names. And just for the record, if this mama had the time - I'd watch that puppy a third time.

"Sometimes I still whine about chores. Cleaning is boring,
repetitive, mindless, unappreciated, physically demanding, sexually
stereotyped and socially undervalued. In this state of boredom,
repetition and mindlessness however, we can't be receptive to the
divinity within us. Similarly, being called to an activity that is
demanding, stereotyping and undervalued, can be used as an
opportunity to gain humility. It can bring us face-to-face with the
mystic's paradox: We are dust and we are divine."
