Big Brother and Baby

Neighbors

I am almost sure that my neighbors are just as intrigued with my compost bin
as I am with their flaming pit of fire.

Coordinate.

I think Mommy only bought the pink tote because it matched your shirt.

Cutie.

Hello Love!

Still take the time to send my sweet Dreggie some of these cell phone
classics...

Penguin Goddess

Impressed the kids with this one...

Thank you Eve.

You always know when to tuck me in close to your heart...

Oh my gawd. Dreg shorts?

How To Patch Your Clothes - More DIY How To Projects

For a second, I thought someone had stolen Dreg's shorts and was trying to give them a new secret identity with all the patches. Ha ha, ya right - he guards those things with his life. Then I thought about the condition of his shorts and how they'll probably fall apart soon like the rest of his attire and thought this may be a good skill to learn for him. Or for him to learn for him.

Marlie and Me

Every time I say "Marlie and Me", I think of that damn movie.

You know I don't have a t.v. and don't keep up on the movie scene, how
was I to know... Dreg and I still laugh at our hospital moment when
were saw the movie preview on the tube after we had just decided on the
name Marlie. We could not believe we had picked a name that was also
the name of a stupid dog movie.

Ugh. I hope they don't make a sequel.

Simplicity

Some days, it's so abundantly clear.

Inspiration illustration by Nick Dewar.

Even with the inverted violet color, my youth shines through.

How fun to find old pictures of oneself.

Baby Bliss

Oh how I love this little chubby thing.

It's a great feeling to know that ALL I need to do all day long, really
- the only thing that matters, is to love my kids up.

Everything else can wait.

Kisses are top priority.

Go, Mama, Go!

Much love to my good friend Mama B for giving me (Mama C) a loving Mama
Boost with this nifty handmade card filled with words of love and wisdom.

Good reusing - What a great idea to use up all my thousands of clippings
from the past decade that have been waiting for a creative purpose.
Mama B inspired me to sit down and whip up a dozen note cards - the
first one being a Thank You card for her. With all this gratitude,
appreciation and love flowing in my veins, I should be able to find lots
of kind folks to thank.

Scribble Goddess

Elaine Grace and I collaborated on this piece. We are both very good at
making scribbles.

I feel blessed to be able to work with such an artsy girl.

Trying to Keep Up with Crap

More literally, baby crap.

With two girls in diapers, the laundry situation can sometimes get ahead
of me. Yesterday I had to volunteer my tub to do a massive pre-soak for
the Fuzzi Bunz. Oh how I wish I was the one soaking in the tub and not
a bunch of poo. And here again tonight, at the end of another long Mama
day, the laundry situation is again relentless - this time, it's taken
over the hallway.

No picture will be taken - it's just too darn scary.

Simple Abundance

This is why i didn't read my Simple Abundance entry today.

Elaine Grace decided it was a splendid day to garden in the house plants.

These are the types of messes that take me days, even weeks to get to.
Although I may have to put a rush on this one because I'm really
enjoying this book.

Really, it is full of reminders that we need to hear and live every day
like to be present in each moment and be full of gratitude.

Much Love!!

Mama Bird Needs to Sew

At one point, sewing may have only been a "want" of mine, but it's since
been relocated to the "need" column with a growing pile of clothes
begging to be mended, the current fabric basket spilling over with
fabrics waiting to be used and two nights ago, I cut up some old skirts
& a crib sheet to make some reusable cloth napkins that are still
sitting on my ironing board waiting their turn. They've been moved a
couple of times by Dreg who regularly uses the ironing board to host his
laptop.

Do you like my ironing board cover? It's from Hestia Houseworks and wasmy xmas present from Dreg. Wow - how did he ever know to get me that?

Oh yeah - because I picked it out and demanded that it show up under the
tree! Thanks lovie!

Karma Tree Appliqué

Little Mars is admiring the sweetest gift from Michele at Under the Bodhi Tree Designs that also has the coolest darn appliqué ever!  Hooray for talented Mamas!

I just love the Karma Tree - It's almost too cute to use, but we'll spit all over it anyways I'm sure - eh Marlie?
